Cowplain Posted August 14, 2013 Share Posted August 14, 2013 Currently I clean my track manually and have always wondered about using a suitable vehicle, but have read somewhere that the use of track cleaning vehicles, powered or pulled on a DCC layout is not recommended. Hi Technically as this is the Hornby forum only Hornby products can be discussed,so it has to be a Hornby one. poliss Posted August 14, 2013 Share Posted August 14, 2013 If you're thinking of the one with the vacuum cleaner, then it needs a decoder fitted to work properly on DCC. All the RTR ones are expensive. People have found success with this home made track cleaner. http://wpporter.worthygems.com/trackcleaner.php (Masonite is hardboard.)
