81F
I have just bought a very nice fireless loco for use on a possible brewery/industrial railway project I am considering. However, I have discovered that while it is DCC fitted it is also three rail. It is made by a German? subsidiary of the blue box company which could get you thinking of Gulliver's Travels. What I would like to know is can I use my spare Hornby select to power it - notwithstanding the need to build a tree rail system!
poliss
No. It uses AC power instead of DC and uses a totally different kind of DCC system.

As it was new and much less than half price I think I'll pack the loco away and sell it on ebay in a year or two's time - oe I suppose I could build the new layout using the AC system! poliss
They can be converted, but it takes a lot of work, changing the motor etc.
