Sultan
I have just changed to the NCE PowerCab dcc system and need to program my locos with long addresses. I followed the NCE instructions but the chip would not accept 7017. Will the Hornby decoders accept and recognise long addresses?
Rog RJ
The R8249 will, I don't think the R8215 will.
cooped
Correct, R8249 will, the older 8215 will not.

Fishmanoz
No problem, all I did was a Google search on R8215 as I was curious myself.
