CallumA
Hello, just wanted to know if anyone has attempted installing on a mac- what are the pitfalls of installation using an emulator such as Parallels. I don't suppose Hornby have considered a native OS X version of TrackMaster. Thanks all! First post, yipee!
Fishmanoz
You'll find a number of posts from HornbyRailMasterSuppoet on using Windows emulation software on a Mac. Do a search on them. But in short, should work. They also say the model railway market for Mac users is small so getting OS X designs unlikely. Then there are a number of other brands of track design software you might consider.
HornbyRailMasterSupport
We do have many customers using TrackMaster successfully on Apple Macs using virtual machines like Parallels. All you need to ensure is that the security and communications settings within Parallels (and virtual machines like it) allow full access to TrackMaster. Please note that running programs through a virtual machine is not as efficient as running it on a native Windows PC, so if you are able to dual-boot your Mac, this would be better. You can download a trial version of TrackMaster from www.powerpos.com/track-master/tm_setup108.exe to see how you get on before purchasing.
