Homer
This may sound a strange request, but I've look on the Web & Books but cannot found an idiots guide to connecting power to the track. I have four Tracks, currently ran with a Duette controller with power being sent to each loop via switches.I now wish to DCC my system, so my question is do I need to provide power to all Four tracks and if so do i need to ensure that I wire them all the same polarity.I appreciate this is a bazear question, but i do not wish to blow apart my DCC Controllers & Loco chips. poliss
Same basic rules apply for DC and DCC. Ensure the same polarity etc. You will no longer need isolated sections as it is best to have all the track live all of the time, so you can add feeders after the points if you haven't already got them.See Brian Lamberts DCC page for much more information. http://www.brian-lambert.co.uk/DCC.htm
Homer
Many thanks, I thought this was the case especially with the polarity. I feel confidant now to go ahead and connect my DCC unit to my four Tracks.
