Recommended Posts

I'm trying to ring the guy on my phone and just does as I phoned to say 'I'm Having a Problem' the Elink is on but after 5 Minutes before I ran a Train it comes up 'Unable to Open the Designated Com Port' This Topic is about Why Windows 8.1 does not work with Hornby Railmaster when It should do?

Could you explain just a little bit more. Are you looking for the decoder number (ID) which should be automatically factory set as 03? In what respect are you referring to  Any GWR R something, R being Hornby's prefix to its range of item numbers?

I think maybe we have 2 posters with 2 separate problems here, much easier if new questions are asked on new threads though.

And I think the logged out anonymous poster (not your problem, it is a forum glitch) wants to know the R number of his loco rather than its default address of 003 so he can enter it unambiguously in his loco list in RM. If so, I think you need to search the RM loco list for the one that matches your loco description.
