RDS
Hi Robert,Welcome to the forum. The R3047 is shown as DCC ready, which means that there is a socket inside, so that the decoder just plugs in.
robert_black
HiSorry. Wrong question. How does the body come off?
RDS
On the Hornby website, from near the bottom of the Home page, select Hornby support, then Downloads, then Hornby Locomotive Maintenance Sheets. Go to Page 2 and the Class 101 DMU is listed. This is for the 3 car DMU but I imagine that the body removal will be the same. You will need to slide something thin, between the edge of the chassis and the body. There are usually some small tabs on the body that fit into slots along the edge of the chassis (or vice versa where the slots are in the body). I usually slide a piece of thin clear plastic (as found in some food packaging) between the tab and the slot to prevent the tab slipping back in to the slot, whilst you move to the next one. There are likely to be maybe 6 of these tabs, so you will need 6 pieces of clear plastic cut into about 10mm x 30mm strips.Once all the plastic pieces are in place, you can ease the body off by gently pulling the chassis down.
