  1. @Dodge1965, stop pushing your luck with your comments. You know what I mean. I went out of my way to help you with your username and I am beginning to regret it. An option available to us is to require that ALL your posts are approved before they appear.
  2. I have locked this thread as it has gone well off the Model railway theme. A number of posts have been removed completely.

@Rsjs you certainly should not have to make any modifications to your Loco (assuming you bought it new and no-one has messed with it before). Your points need to be perfectly flat and I have added an extra fixing pin to the centre of most of my points because even the slightest 'out of flat' can cause problems. To do this you need to drill a hole in the sleeper right in the centre of the point, with a 1mm drill. You can easily check if this is going to make a difference by pressing down in the centre of your points and ensuring there is NO movement. The back to back measurement as mentioned above is also important.
  4. @Splatz, I have removed your post. This is a model railway forum and no place for language like that or a rant at a delivery company
  5. You missed the b out of Hornby.
  6. @Potscale2378, just checking you had seen my post above that probably helps find your previous posting history
  7. @Potscale2378, no it is not normal to lose any previous posts, although I think some members have reported losing posts from years ago. You are only showing as having made 3 posts in total, one of which was deleted by me as the duplicate and only having joined the Forum in August 2023. You do have another member id though as well, Potrail2378 which would explain it!
  8. @Potscale2378, I have deleted the duplicate thread you have raised. Thanks LTSR_NSE
  9. A built in Wardrobe was preventing my layout expansion. I say 'was' because the Wardrobe is now history.
  10. The Hattons pre-owned range cost me a fortune!
  11. I have now received confirmation from AnyRail support this this item is now included in an updated AnyRail version (6.56). Excellent support as usual from AnyRail, less than a week after I contacted them.
  12. I have received confirmation from AnyRail support that the Double Straight will be included at the next update.
  13. I agree - it was not a serious suggestion!
  14. The points must be hidden in the tunnel JJ
  15. @Dodge1965, it is pleasing you are able to accept the apology offered but it would of course be better if members would refrain from posting something in the first place that is likely to cause offence.
  16. Thanks for sharing your images
  17. Hi Fazy, I can assure we share your frustration and the issues you have pointed to have been raised. I do disagree with your view that it is unprofessional though. It just needs some fine tuning to get it to where we need it to be but there are many options for you to select the order in which topics appear for you.
  18. That is correct. The Forum does not have predictive text and does not alter words, although it does highlight spelling errors by underlining the incorrect word. Try it, just mistype a word and then right click with your mouse, (or whatever option is required by the device you are using) to be offered a new word.
  19. @kev12345, the Loco's you have listed should all be very easy to convert to DCC. They will all require your soldering iron skills because as far as I can see, none of them are fitted with a blanking plate that would be removed to simply plug in a Decoder. The way to fit a Decoder to a Loco without a socket is well covered on the internet but you can always ask for help on here. As you bought them second hand off eBay, it is advisable to test them out, first of all on a simple DC system before fitting the Decoders. This is a common recommendation.
  20. I know I am very biased being a DCC user but for anyone starting out, DCC is the only way to go whether the layout is large or small. My layout started off small with a couple of ovals and 2 sidings controlled by the Hornby Elite controller. It now has 4 ovals plus an extension on the outer oval, 29 sidings with 25 Loco's, anyone one of which can be selected easily. It is still controlled by the same Elite controller although I have added RailMaster to more easily control 45 sets of Points.
  21. If I have read your post correctly, you are hoping to use the legacy Dongle to operate your points? The HM7000 App does not yet enable you to operate Points. I have many Points on my layout but I use RailMaster to operate them, which is a simple mouse click on the corresponding Point.
  22. Some great ideas on here
