  1. I always edit out any pictures I come across that have been included in quoted replies.
  2. It has been reported (rightly or wrongly) that RailMaster Support are planning changes to the RM software over the coming months, so it may be worthwhile re-opening this thread to add new ideas and remind ourselves of ideas raised previously.
  3. That's a very good picture. Can anyone confirm the chip and offer any advice.
  4. I started the sweep a few days short of 9 years ago. Loco Detection availability - Let's start a sweep :: Hornby Hobbies It's time we had some more guesses. Just a date (nothing else) required in the above thread.
  5. Hi Please post a picture of the chip installation.
  6. Hi Steven and welcome to the Forum Modern Track is Nickel Silver and older track is Steel. There will be many members still using Steel Track but the usual recommendation is to discard it (responsibly!) and buy new Nickel Silver Track. A magnet can be used to confirm which you have. If it is Nickel Silver, I find that IPA is the most effective way of cleaning it. Do not use anything abrasive on it. Another alternative is a Track Rubber.
  7. Could I remind you that this is a Hornby Forum, so could I suggest you ask the question of the seller. You can of course discuss non Hornby equipment, especially when Hornby do not sell an equivalent item but detailed questions are best answered by the Manufacturer.
  8. I am guessing you mean you cannot see where .... You can edit your post by selecting the Edit option by clicking the 3 vertical dots at the top right hand side of your post.
  9. This reply refers to the Handheld version of RM, for which a separate licence is required and it requires that the Main RM program is running on a PC. It has no relevance to the Bluetooth discussions above.
  10. When you say, can you change the Sound Decoder address, if you mean the DCC id that defaults to 3, yes you can change that on a DCC system just as you do with any other DCC Decoder. (It is far easier to do it on the App though)
  11. I am happy to add additional information. Please add a proposal below, of what you would like added.
  12. @Ducking Giraffe I have turned your top picture over. It looks even better the right way up but apologies if it was meant to be upside down. If so, I can turn it back again!

@keith 369297, Your post has been moved to the RailMaster section of this Forum. E Link - How Do I load RailMaster without a CD drive :: Hornby Hobbies
  14. Hi Keith Welcome to the Forum. I have changed the title of your post to make it easier to find for others that may have a similar problem. There is an evaluation copy of RailMaster which you can Download from the RailMaster site. Download that and then use the code from your CD to upgrade your evaluation copy to the licenced version. This is the best way even if you have a CD drive because the Downloadable version is almost always a newer version than a CD.

  17. Hi Nick Welcome to the Forum. Buying or Selling is not allowed on the Forum but your question is alright. You have a few choices, either an Auction site such as eBay or a Model Shop that buys and sells. If you do a search on eBay, you should find items that have been sold which may give you an idea (go for sold, rather than what people are trying to sell for). Alternatively Hattons of Liverpool (there are others) buy second hand Loco's. The fact that the boxes appear unopened will help get a better price.
  18. There is no issue with saying Thank You on this Forum.
  19. I would remove the Points completely that cross from one Siding to another, to make both Sidings longer and fully useable.
  20. @Derek I have used exactly that method previously but you need to be EXTREMELY careful when bending a Decoder Pin. In fact you may only need to bend 1 pin slightly to ensure that the whole 8 pin plug stays in the socket.
  21. @Bill, the duplicate pictures you posted have been deleted. It is only necessary to post your pictures once and they will not be displayed on the Forum until they are approved by a Moderator. Please have a look at the post below for more details: Important Information for New Members Registering for the Forum (Updated 29th March 2023) :: Hornby Hobbies
  22. @Topcat, you are absolutely right and that is why I prepared the thread below a long time ago - it has not made any difference though! Important Information for New Members Registering for the Forum (Updated 29th March 2023) :: Hornby Hobbies
  23. I would recommend the HM7000 DCC TXS from Hornby. It is available in either 8 or 21 pin and although it can be used as a normal DCC Decoder, it is also controllable by Bluetooth from an Android or iOS phone or tablet. It is a very capable Decoder and all Sound files are free to download. The sound file for the Class 67 is not yet available but the schedule of availability is shown in the HM7000 section of this Forum on this thread: Latest Sound Profile Status :: Hornby Hobbies
