old gezzer
Hi AllIn railmaster can you make seperate lists of loco's ie steam locos , diesels etcso when you are running a evening of steam loco's you don't have to keep scrooling through lots of steam and diesel locosRegards old gezzer
Michael_A
Yes. See the manual (sorry, too much to explain)You can create any group you want (steam, diesel, era etc etc), add any loco to that group, then, in the operating screen, select which group of locos you want to use. Its effectively a filter. Or you can select all again.
Graskie
I have so many locos I split them into BR groups for steam locos, including one for Standard Class ones, and yet another one for diesels. The only drawback is that you can only directly control those in one group at a time and have to switch back to another relevant group to retake control of anything already switched on, or to start another new one operating in its own separate group, if necessary. You can, however, temporarily set up a group including just those locos you wish to operate in a particular session to avoid the above. idlemarvel
If you want to control one or two locos not in the current group list you could add a floating button to bring up a specific loco.Ref. page 70 of the manual, programmable floating keys.It brings it up "maximised" but that's not usually a problem. Michael_A
Selecting locos quickly is an issue I have with the chunky big graphics of RailMaster. They could make it a lot slicker. Adding the pictures as icons, then just clicking to se the throttle controls would be much easier.
mcrook62
Hi MichaelThanks for that the manual don't say alot about it but worked it out in the end now got 3 groups steam, green era, blue era which makes a lot more easy.RegardsOld Gezzer
RDS
Hi MichaelSome time ago we set up a specific thread called 'Desirable Features for future software updates' and it can be found on sheet 2 of the RailMaster section of this forum. Hornby RailMaster Support have assured us that they have taken note of a lot of the features suggested, so it may be an idea to add your suggestion to the thread.
