dennisf
I have RM running on a win7 VM and I am trying to deactivate it.It sits there for ages and then says can't verify activation key.How do I deactivate it?
Fishmanoz
Try turning your virus protection right off Dennis and see if that helps. And if it does, it means you probably have a problem with the virus protection not properly specifying RM as an exception. Check it out in the guide on that on your desktop. Fishmanoz
Does VM mean virtual machine running on a Mac? That may also be giving you comms problems interfering with deactivation. But in any case, a bit strange given you were able to activate in the first place. What has changed since then? In my case, I couldn't activate ProPack even though all had worked previously. My conclusion was a later version of my virus protection was the change and listing RM as an exception the fix. Clearly hadn't been needed in the older version. dennisf
Its vmware running on win8.1pro.The 1.55 railmaster just doesn't work on my laptop (lenovo thinkpad yoga). It does work on the VM.However I wanted to try the 1.56 on the laptop but the trial won't run as its expired and I can't deregister the one in the VM. tony_forward
Probably something RM support can answer... if one is having problems activating/deactivating etc, is it possible to start windows in safe mode with network support and then run RM and activate/deadtivate?
