michael.hamilton
I'm awaiting the arrival of my recently-ordered R3160XS West Country Class DCC sound loco. I'm trying to download the manual. Looking at the website under Manuals --> Sound Locomotive Instruction Sheets, I can see Castle Class, Duchess Class and Princess Royal Class.Being Australian, I need some advice on class. Would one of these manuals be relevant? What I'm really after is the sound function number assignments for the R3160XS.Thanks in advance for your assistance. 96RAF
Also listed are the basic manuals for the L'Sound versions-various decoders, but that still won't confirm what your W Country loco assignments are.Maybe you could drop HCC an email and ask if they have one on hand pending uplift to the website. They are usually very helpful.
Graskie
Can't you wait until the item arrives, Michael? Full instructions will come with it, including all DCC functions for that specific loco.
michael.hamilton
Good idea. I'll drop HCC an email.
michael.hamilton
Yes, you're right. However I enjoy reading through the manual before an item arrives, and I suppose I'm curious why the manual for the R3160XS is missing from the website. Graskie
It's probably too new for that to have been done yet.
michael.hamilton
It's from the 2013 range, no longer in stock from Hornby.

michael.hamilton
Thanks, Graskie. Looks like I'm going to have a lot of fun experimenting with all the sounds.
