Wobblinwheel
Have any of you tried the Train Control Systems' "Keep Alive" decoders? My Railroad Mallard, even though has tender pick-ups, will still stop on occaision going thru atlas #6 turnouts (points?). I've read about "Keep alive" technology that keeps the motor going 2 to 5 seconds AFTER power interruption. Does it work? Sometimes, depending on speed, my loco will slam to a stop, then proceed on it's own (slowly, due to momentum programmed in). If going really slow, it will stop, and I have to "wiggle" the loco ever so slightly, and it will resume.
St1ngr4y
I have "Keep alive" installed on one of my locos, a Class 08 shunter with Loksound decoder. I get excellent slow-speed shunting, and the very rare times it stalls, is when I stop it intentionally and it happens to stop on a dirty bit of track. poliss
I've seen locos run over 9 inches of paper when these type of things are fitted. Controllable while on the paper too. The instructions get through by induction. They were the Lenz versions as I remember.
