choralc
I have seen in the Forum members talking about getting the firmware on their Select controllers updated. Now that's something interesting. How does someone update the firmware on a Select? Are people returning the Select to Hornby who updates it and returns it. Who pays the postage? One way or both ways? How is someone not in the UK supposed to do it?
Fishmanoz
Can only be done by Hornby cc. Someone will be along soon to tell you the latest update and how to tell. There hasn't been a change in ages so you may well have the latest.

My first one came with my re-entry to the hobby when I purchased R1160 'The Cornishman' in 2012 so I doubt Fishman that I have a recent one. I will have to fire them up and see what version I have but I doubt very much I have a version dated from 30/03/2014! :) Thank you John I might see to this after the New Year
Yelrow
No, its not the date, its version 14, then 30, then the loco no 03, eg 14-30-03, just in case you were kidding. john
Rog RJ
14 is the firmware version, in this case it is version 1.4. 30 Is said to be the hardware version, 3.0, though I've never seen this confirmed. 03 is the default loco address.
