walkingthedog
Don't forget that a new loco will travel slower at a given power setting than it will when it has been used for some time.

Hi WTDI agree a new loco will run different to one that has been used for many hours they will only do a set speed if calibrated 'periodically' The speed is corrrct after calibrationPJ

PJ_model_trains
60 mph is 60 mph no matter the age of a loco , it is a calibration issue , i have the same locos but use a different method to calculate scale speed and both locos run at the same speed ,if railmaster does not have the correct information it cannot calculate the necessary settings .i think a fundamental of dcc control is not being taken into consideration ,therefore the outcome is flawed.as pj is finding out.as i dont have railmaster i cannot directly address this issue only try to work the problem from another angle . I assume magfan you are using a controller not RailMaster. Therefore the difference we are experienced is that of a controller and that of software. I think that does come to mind here is, Cock O the North is not yet listed in RailMaster list of locomotives. I wonder therefore if Hornby are aware of the difference but possibly pushed to launch this train before Christmas. PJ
