Railmaster will not connect to elite

I have tried everything but my railmaster will not connect to may elite, I have checked comm ports and cables etc but no joy, can someone please help me.

Could you give us some more information please.

1) Have you EVER had your Elite working with RailMaster?

2) What operating System are you running on your computer?

3) Does your layout work with your Elite on its own, i.e. without RailMaster?

Hi Fogger, welcome to the forums. 

 

Are you running RM as administrator, has it updated to the latest v1.58, is it listed as an exception in your virus protection software?  Is the com port you are using numbered under 5 and is showing as that same number in RM Setup and Device Manager?  Have you tried a different high quality shielded USB cable?

 

If you believe the answers to all those questions are yes, I suggest you email RM Support from within the Help window of RM. When you do this, you should get an automatic acknowledgement immediately and a real answer within hours. If you don't, turn off your virus protection and try again. Also, include the answers to all my questions in your email as these will be the first things they ask you.
