96RAF Posted February 27, 2015 Share Posted February 27, 2015 Thanks for the official Hornby confirmation AdamTechnically I am told its all to do with the 2 extra wires causing cross-talk that gave slow response in walkabout mode with the earlier dual mode cable, i.e. it didn't work very well, so the new cable was designed fit for purpose.R8266 is a round section 4-wire cable for the Select WalkaboutR8236 is a flat section 6-wire cable for the Booster.Rob Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
