96RAF Posted March 2, 2015 Share Posted March 2, 2015 If this loco is DCC Ready then it has a decoder socket but you need to fit a decoder before it will behave itself.If it is DCC Fitted then it will already have a decoder installed and should be behaving itself.If it is Hornby what is the R number and have you fitted a decoder. Fishmanoz Posted March 2, 2015 Share Posted March 2, 2015 Does changed the loco's ID round a bit just mean you changed it from 03, or did you figure out something really clever we should know about? As a pretty inflexible rule of DCC, locos run only on the ID set and all start on the default ID of 03. There has been some recent suggestion they can have different short and long IDs as these are set in different CVs but you have to change CV29 bit 5 (means you have to add 32 to use long IDs) to get from one to the other anyway, so can't have two at the same time.
