Codger
Can double headers be used in a Railmaster program? When a double header is set up, the DH?? number does not appear in the list of available locos when selecting the resource and selecting one of the locos in the double header as the resource makes only that selected loco run. LMSTim
Double headers are not recorded in programs, and you wouldn't want to because you can control multiple locos separately, which is more flexible. In fact, if there are any double-headers active when you press the record button, RailMaster will tell you and suggest that you dissovle any active consists. To enable a multiple header in a program just set each loco going at exactly the same time and at the same speed. Because RailMaster uses scale speed operation, they should move off at the same time and at the same speed, so there is no wheel-spinning from one of the locos. Remember, though, that there are plenty of factors which can affect the scale speed operation of locos: dirty track, lack of lubrication on motors/gears, old or burnt-out motors, duff DCC chips, poor electrical pick-up and so on.
