GeoFF03
I’d like to see this kit reissued to the main range or even just added to the kitstarter list. The European strongpoint has been made available, though not with the vac-formed base of old, so why not this kit? Both the strongpoint and desert outpost are available in 1/32, a scale they are hardly suited for due to the unrealistic paper thin walls, and this would not be an issue in the smaller scale. nmcabecadas
Very true, the build is much more suitable to smaller scales as these buildings have very thick walls, but I only buy them if the base is included. Adding the base boost the overall value and the building can provide a diorama base for itself.
21fan
If it's available in 1/32, why not in 1/76. Would be an excellent option for all.
GeoFF03
I've missed out on two of these that showed up on ebay. The first, I was out bid in the last seconds and it went for over £30. Now I've just seen one go for for over £80! Come on Airfix, give us poor modellers a break and re-release this at a sensible price or add it to the kitstarter program
nmcabecadas
Amera sells a similar Desert Outpost with base and a vac form building.
GeoFF03
Amera sells a similar Desert Outpost with base and a vac form building.I have one. The outer surface detail is soft and ill-defined. Thats why I'm still after the Airfix original.

The Desert Outpost can provide a starting point and as far as I remember, the walls from the Airfix original are very thin.
