One of three fibre optic transmitter (Tx) modules installed on the layout.
Each Tx module has up to 8 sensors connected and the sensor data is transmitted to the motherboard (matched) receiver module by a single fibre optic cable in lieu of up to 8 pairs of hard wires.
The modules have indicator LEDs for power, data flow and channel in use, which can be used for trouble-shooting as well as identifying sensors during initial set-up.
