OK, got a chance to do some checking over the weekend. The decoder is responding to the Hornby Elite ok but requires multiple clicks in Railmaster before responding. As I said before, this is particular to this specific decoder. This does point to the latency issue in RM via the Elite raised by 96RAF. This is not a huge issue on manual control but does create a problem when using automation.

Thanks folks. Lots to check out at the weekend. As far as I know, all my firmware is up to date. No issues with other TTS or DCC decoders. I even have a few Loksound for my Irish Models which run perfectly. I'll let you know how I get on with the suggestions above.

Hi folks, I'm running the new Hornby Farewell Tour HST125 R3957 and the Hornby Centre 395 R3813 with the R8120 TTS Sound decoders. My set up is Hornby Railmaster via Elite and remote Select. The issue appears to be signal detection. On start up the decoder will run fine with sound and speed but might not respond to speed or sound changes for a few seconds or might not respond at all and require a hard stop and reset. I initially thought it was the 395 but now the 125 has the same issues. This can happen on Railmaster control or Elite. No problems with my other TTS decoders, A3, A4, Merchant Navy etc. Any thoughts?

Hi folks, I have to hand it to Hornby. I had a replacement W1 sent out to me in Ireland within a week of returning the broken one. Very happy with the service. It's now running happily on my layout.yum

Thanks for feedback folks. I've tightened up the little bolt with the correct tool for the job and it seems good now. It might have worked loose during transport as its a fairly new purchase with very little running to date.

Hi folks, I've searched the forum but did not get any hits for the following. Does anyone use thread lock on rod nuts that come loose regularly? I can see the down side but what are the alternatives?

Was really excited when the courier finally arrived the the W1. The excitement soon changed to horror when I opened the box. Met by bits of plastic shaking around. No problem, I've had to glue parts back on before but I was not prepared for the broken tender link mount and bent link. First time I have had to return a loco. Very poor packaging led to the damage. I just hope Hornby have replacements.

Me too. Its been a wait but it will be great to have it's maiden run on the Christmas layout.

Reloaded Version 1.74.2 and everything back to normal.

Bug is still there in version 1.74.4. General System Settings Screen not showing, just Loco Detection Screen. I have just downloaded the update file at 19:10.

Just ran this update but still not getting any new locos in the library. The newest Loco in my library is R3711 added on 30/12/2020. Is this correct?

Limited CIE Mk1's on the market so I decided to repurpose a few spare coaches. First one painted (downer below). Need to get some appropriate decals now. Looks nice behind the 121.
