  1. YouChoos do a 28mm round speaker. Not sure if it is any different from what comes with a TTS decoder. Will see if I can find out and report back.
  2. @81F, Rustoleum, see below. From B&Q.
  3. If you feel adventurous, you can get concrete textured paint in a spray can at you local DIY centre.
  4. I am currently cataloguing my hoard. Just running through the coaches and I have come to a BR Mk1 CK with number E15713. I cannot find an R number reference for this coach. I have tried the usual resources and am coming up blank. I guess this will have been broken from a set or train pack. Does anybody have any clues of the origin of this particular coach?
  5. Not used this type of decal before, but I assume you only use small amounts of the dilute solution. Should be OK on acrylics, but test first if you can for your own peace of mind. Long term dunking in meths is probably not a good idea, but I guess you knew that already ๐Ÿ˜‰.
  6. Try Tim Horn for prefabricated baseboards, quite the variety available.
  7. @Hobby1707822967, yes 12m x 6m. We own an old chapel. Loads of space when all the pews come out. That size is the outside, TT120 will be approx 10m x 4m.
  8. Alan, the Z21 doesn't care or know if you have a Hornby loco. It talks to the decoder. So we really need to know what decoders you are using.
  9. Whilst I am here, FYI, I am the chairman of the Stevenage & District MRC. We are close to finishing our new club main layout, which will include a 12m x 6m loop of TT120, so keep an eye on our website for the latest news on when this is ready. If your can get to us, you can give your little beauties a good runout.
  10. Personally, 00 is my thing. I answered the poll and was in the majority. That being said, I think TT120 is marvellous, preferable to N in my opinion. Welcome to all that have come into the hobby off the back of its launch. Well Chuffed Model Railways uploaded today, looking at the 1976 Hornby & Mainline Catalogues. This was the launch year for Mainline. 5 locomotives (1 ร— diesel, 4 x steam), 4 coaches & 10 wagons. That was it. Where are they now? Oh, the kernel of Bachmann Europe. Anyone thinking Hornby should have had a large range from day one is an utter fool. Regarding retail. Would retailers have had the space for what they would need to display? What would they take out to accommodate it? Would they rearrange their whole shop? Would they move to larger premises? I think no to all of these. Hornby held on to all of the risk at the start, and are now bringing Retail on board as the market develops. I enjoy Sam's output usually, especially the more technical aspects of his reviews, but this latest from him is very poor, and does not reflect well on him.
  11. Can you give a progress report please Tom. I have the same issue with this model and am considering doing this repair too. Any problems encountered?
  12. I donโ€™t think they have firebox glow
  13. ๐Ÿ‘ from me, much faster than before. First view was off putting, but after 2nd login much better. Not tried adding pictures yet.
