  1. How about something simple like curved station canopies to match the existing straight ones? They were discontinued before the latest design was introduced.
  2. The previous suggestion regarding the Rainhill Trials is an obvious addition to Lion & Locomotion No1, plus of course Planet. My biggest wish would be a modern GWR Saint - a new Clevedon Court to latest standards, and possibly the new Lady of Legend currently in steam.
  3. If Hornby are looking for something new, not already provided RTR by other manufacturers, where are the restaurant cars compatible with the Hawksworth coaches and Centenary stock? There is a preserved Centenary restaurant at Didcot which could be scanned to latest standards. Another glaring omission is a Saint to latest standards i.e a new Clevedon Court; and finally why no curved station canopies to match the current design straight ones?
  4. Thanks for all the sound advice. I only get a problem when running 5 or 6 power-hungry old Lima engines, or those with sound, so will just have to limit their number or stick to more modern economical engines. Shouldn't be too ambitious!
  5. I have an Elite/Railmaster set-up with 5amp power. This was fine for many years, but with more and more sound fitted locos, and some older power-hungry engines, the power is sometimes not enough. I don't want to re-wire to create sections with a booster, so can the Elite be used with a 6 - 8 amp power source?
  6. The new Centenary Evening Star is an improved Railroad version - much better paint finish & lining, plus of course the special packaging and replica plaque. One word of advice if you get one and want to convert to DCC - the instructions are WRONG - there is no need to open the main body of the loco and there is no DCCsocket at the front of the loco.
  7. Perhaps I was too slow off the mark - cant find one now
  8. Why o why tempt us with a new Centenary edition Duchess of Atholl and then find we cannot get one anywhere? The Hornby website will not allow a pre-order and no retailers will have one. Has Hornby made a mistake in limiting it to only 250 and such a relatively low price when twice as many could be sold at a much higher price/proft?
