  1. After yonks of waiting, mine's on its way from Widnes. Unfortunately, upon checking the DHL tracking reference, it appears to be heading for Orlando USA rather than Cairns Australia.
  2. House! You were lucky to live in a house! We used to live in one room, all twenty-six of us, no furniture, half the floor was missing, and we were all huddled together in one corner for fear of falling.
  3. I used the Peco Double Slip at my previous residence where space was at a premium. At my current place I've got plenty of room so in my current layout I've discarded the double slip in favour of 2 y-points single end to single end. Things you might want to consider about the Peco Double Switch: 1. The whole lot is live. This would be a problem with DC if the crossing tracks were on different controllers. I can't comment if DCC. 2. The geometry is a bit off. Neither the Peco nor Hornby short curves end up parallel, so a bit of track cutting could be required. 3. Using Chris' diagram on the previous page: To traverse from A to C, point CD must be set to accommodate the arrival direction by being pushed to the D side point AB is set to accommodate the departure direction by being pushed to side B. To traverse from A to D, point CD must be set to accommodate the arrival direction by being pushed to the D side point AB is set to accommodate the departure direction by being pushed to side A.
  4. @LC&DR That looks like a paint job on the Roco 04111C BR80, one of my favourite shunters. http://www.ebay.com.au/p/roco-04114-c-br-80-steam-engine-ex-db-now-ns-green-livery-boxed/1629916802
  5. Flying Scotsman. Seems to be running out of puff. Did Liverpool - Brisbane in 36hrs, but Brisbane - Gordonvale took 68hrs.
  6. Coral Sea, Love how the trees sway in the background. Could you please post a wiring diagram for it?
  7. 3 x Golden Arrow Coach, giving me a rake of 10, albeit with the same running number.
  8. Blood stains and a Band-Aid wrapper.
  9. 4 x Rosemary about to be renamed Eunice, Hercules, Juana & Shiela. 2 x Car No. 65, one to be renamed (renumbered?) Car No. 80. Then all to join "old" Rosemary & The New Century Bar to make a nice 8 car rake.
