  1. Class 31 TTS in green £73 or so including postage, bearing in mind they are selling them for £49.50 with sound taken out.
  2. Hornby magazine has train formations with carriages in their monthly mag including the August edition, see if you can find previous copies over the last 6mths or so and the answer will be there.
  3. It would appear to me so far with this topic, is that, basically, this hobby ia a retirement home whereby a lot of us will be on our permanent holidays over the next 5-10years, and it's a strong possibilty that this hobby will become really niche. I'm not too sure how this issue can be resolved as there aren't in reality a lot of different types of engines / trains being designed or around minus the heritage stuff. It's a bit like cars they are now becoming all much of a muchness.
  4. got myself a relatively cheap Railroad 9F to swap over the bodies with my tender driven 9F that I've had problems with, but will continue to try to resolve, as I love a challenge.
  5. Triang R357 Class 31 from a well known site, absolutley immaculate for it's age hardly any wear and at in my mind a good price.
  6. coming upto 61, wife asked what you want doing with this lot when you go on your long term holidays, suggested she gave them to the grandson as thats the only way he will be able to get a grip on this hobby.
  7. dissapointed with the conversion, was expecting Gene Hunt to say "lets fire up the Class 37"
  8. "Just purchased off ebay the Hornby Marks & Spencer Evening Star set from 2004. It's my birthday present from the wife and daughter. What's incredible is, the set has not been opened! It is still sealed and has the sticker warning to "Do Not Break This Seal Unless You Intend To Keep This Set". I like the cufflinks, too! My thinking is to be the one to open it up and run it on my layout! That's what it was made for, right?" depends whether you think your James May, would appear your beginning to doubt if you should
  9. got myself a few bits from Hawkins, as well as a Crosti 9F from Rails.
  10. 101's used to run on the North Tyne Loop Newcastle to Newcastle via Whitleybay used to be fun when they were full and we all piled into the guards van or if you got in the front into the former 1st Class end in the plush seats, slide the door closed and we thought we were in heaven.
