  1. I am a bit concerned on the number of large 'express' type locos rather than smaller 'go anywhere' prototypes, that would mean for me starting with a Brush 2/Class 31 used on Express Passenger work from their introduction to the late 70's, the last Fenman before electrification of the Cambridge line was hauled by a 31, they were equally at home on branch line freights across the UK. Whilst for steam there are many 0-6-0 tender loco types, or 4-4-0's of pre grouping origin which lasted until the early/mid 60's too. On a personal basis I would like a 3F 0-6-0T (Jinty) as no 47607 which was my first TT loco a very long time ago!
  2. Be nice to have the 3F as 47607 as an 'homage' to the very first Triang TT loco!

  4. Agree with the 08 in LMS livery, the origin of the 08 is with the LMS after all, although with the plethora of liveries from their introduction to today I wonder if any 'what if's' are really necessary! As for the 37 I think there are enough prototype liveries to be going on with!
  5. Thats just what I have found, opening up the BtoB has thrown up the other problems. As for the new Arthur being great, it probably is but I have many views about hornby of 'today', mostly unprintable and I do not support it unless forced to.
  6. I have recently purchased an old Sir Dinadan model, it needs a bit of work as I am going to change it into Stewart Lanes' finest, 'Sir Dodinas Le Savage'. However, the driving wheels back to back is about 1mm less than it should be. easy enough to alter but as the B12 uses the same chassis block i wonder if I can use a B12 chassis block, one of the China versions, under the N15, not obviously the current B12 by the way! Any thoughts anyone? Why not just buy a modern Arthur? price chaps!
  7. 'Scalespeed' who advertise in various magazines can alter all the old wheels tio tun on modern track. Good service when I have used it.
  8. Use 4BA nuts and bolts, thats the same size as Triang used, except theirs were shouldered bolts, in the CKD coach kits.
