  1. I'd like to see the Bristol Super Freighter rereleased but with corrections for the nose, wing and tail (extra sprue to keep it simple) to make the more common Mk.I/II/31 in BSAA, BEA, Safe Air, RPAF and RNZAF markings. Dreams are free of course!
  2. In RNZAF service it was always P-51D Mustang, not Mustang IV.

I thin you'll find a lot of things made of steel, Aluminium or other metals can be rescued (steel being more durable then most others), and reused if enough time and care is put into rectifying the fault at hand (cracks filled/welded, abrasions removed or as the Bug shows, new subassemblies created). The only way they would be truly gone is if they had been smashed to pieces or suffered corrosion so bad that there is pitting absolutely everywhere.
  4. As an aircraft engineer by trade, I think you'll find Ratch that there will not be too much dissimilar between them internally, if at all, especially given the main difference between the airframes is the different nose guns and where they were manufactured.

The fact that many of us who were not even born when the Bond Bug mould was allegedly destroyed for ever yet have now built one/got one in the stash, should give us all hope that other "long lost" kits will return from the grave to "Thriller" us all.
  6. Seems to be loads of F model decals around but you're right about the E models outside of some properly weird schemes.
  7. Having brought a lot of various Hornby products of late, it seems they have taken the view to produce models in the same colour plastic as the intended paint scheme (trains and slot cars too).
  8. Interesting. I thought built plastic models were not viewed highly on the second hand market (eBay, other flea markets, charity shops) as people want to build their own.
  9. Hornby has Necro'ed an old thread somehow and attributed it to you. As a mod you should lock it.

    Chinook

I wonder if there's been supplemental parts made for other Chinook variants, especially those in US and Aussie service as they have/had a lot more interesting bumps then the British machines do eg the ACH-47A or the MH-47.
  11. Not an issue if you spend £25+ as its free delivery!
  12. Try this link for instructions: It is for the FGA.9 but as scalemates points out, its the same kit plus a few spares. Airfix Hunter Scalemates
  13. Cool, I wonder if the DH88 is being looked at too as that must be the crudest aircraft kit still regularly rolled out by Hornby. A new mould would make for a great new starter kit.

    Revamp

I hove those of course but only two actions under it. I work in IT BTW.
