  1. In the 1960s Airfix did make a small start on 1/24 cars with the two 007 kits, the Aston Martin DB5 and the Toyota 2000, both of which had working extra features. I cannot understand why they didn't continue in this scale, especially as the likes of Monogram and AMT released so many in this scale.
  2. With regards to the absent part 30, My suggestion is that you not fix the rear deck one in place as it is only visible when looking directly at the stern, it is hidden by the two side cabins when viewed from an angle, and use the part for the front deck location, which is more visible from many angles. Failing that, if anyone is in possession of and proficient with a small lathe, such as that made by Unimat, it may be possible to turn a small piece of round sprue of approximate size using the existing part 30 as a pattern.
  3. According to the Tiger Tank Haynes Manual (ISBN 798 178521 687 9) page 46 bottom photo, the part in question (D14) is a plate used to seal an engine air intake during deep wading. In the case of Tiger 131 at Bovington it is painted in the main hull colour, I would imagine this would be the same for any other Tiger.
  4. The 2023 Club Calendar looks to be a load of blank pages this year, if the e-mail I have just received is any indication. It informs us that: "We need to wrap up the calendar and get it ready to send to you by the end of September 2022." It then goes on to advise us to: "Please send your shots to us by 01/10/2022." ?????
  5. I cannot find my membership number either. I joined on 7/02/2022. I did not receive a "credit card" in my welcome pack and if I received an e-mail I think I may have accidently deleted it. How can I find it out?
