  1. Just thought I would post a small update with how my Stuart looks so far. I am happy with how it has come out. The colour I used is sybrite green. A colour from another brand I already had.
  2. Thank you all for the replies. I am going for scheme A here https://uk.airfix.com/products/m3-stuart-honey-a1358 It seems to bit different to the caunter scheme. I am aware of the inaccuracies of some of these so not too worried about the accuracy. I looked at a few different photos that include that scheme or similar and think I have settled on an alternate colour now. It will look quite different once its been washed and weathered I think anyway. There seems to be a big variance on colours, for example the tank museums Stuart has that exact scheme but a darker less blue green. I kind of had my heart set on a blueish green. I think this will work ok.
  3. I am at the painting stage of my Airfix Stuart Honey kit and already picked up the paints for cover scheme in advance. However the Pastel Green listed for the scheme is very different and much more vibrant to the green in the scheme and on the sample model / cover art. Its almost luminous or neon instead of a grey / green. I am wondering if there is something wrong with the batch my paint come from or whether the recommendation is just plain wrong?
  4. If there are really no membership numbers any more they should have updated the passport to remove the membership number field. I have been looking for my 2022 number and can not find it anywhere. It would be good to see an official statement on this.
  5. By expressnet cable I meant an RJ12 cable. I just put expressnet to make it obvious which connector I was using. As you say it does sound like it must be concidence as I cant see how adding the select with a data cable could cause anything like that. Thanks for the reassurance, will give it another go later.
  6. I recently upgraded to the Elite which has been great. I was on the fence for quite a while as it gets a fair bit of slack but went for it and it does everything I wanted. So I decided to use my Select as a walkabout controller however after connecting them and powering up a locomotive moved on its own then there was a puff of smoke. At first I thought it was from the elite so I cut off all power. So I disconnected them and tried the elite and nothing. Then tried the select on its own also nothing. Then realised I the smoke was from bachmann locomotive behind the controller, I removed this locomotive and everything worked again with each controller on its own. This is not that bad because it means I have only lost a decoder, but I am not sure why the decoder blew and I am worried about connecting the select to the elite again. Just to be clear it was just the expressnet cable that was connected nothing else. While they were connected the Select displayed HC on its display (I think this is normal). The bachmann decoder had a bachmann decoder in it as far as I am aware. I also have another bachmann loco, many hornby ones and some laisdcc decoders which are fine.
