  1. It is not a huge aircraft for moulding and boxing point of view, especially since Airfix have launched their new 1/72 Vulcan and the HP Victor
  2. The only model I wish Airfix would release is a 1/48 scale DH Devon/Dove, such an iconic aircraft and one that at one point was the longest serving aircraft in the RAF in the 1980's before it was withdrawn from service. The Amodel 1/72 kit sold very well as it catered for both military and civil modelling enthusiats, and served in so many countries around the world as well, the only other 1/48 scale of this aircraft was by Magna models and is a all resin kit which has its problems of accuracy. At least it would be something new and not another Spitfire LOL
  3. Talking to the Airfix guy at Telford last year, he told me that he would of liked to of done the Valiant again, so it would be on par with the Victor and Vulcan tooling
  4. Looking at how Airfix are replacing much of their old aircraft kits with newer and better models, I think it would be safe to say we can see much of the models from older catalogues being done with all the CAD and LIDAR technology we have, the only problem is doing aircraft accurately when they no longer exist, so my short list would be for Airfix models in the next coming years DH Mosquito 1/72 and 1/48 Short Sunderland 1/72 Lysander 1/72 and 1/48 HP Halifax 1/72 P38 Lightning 1/72 and 1/48 P47 Thunderbolt 1/72 and 1/48 B29 1/72 B-24 1/72 B-26 1/72 Buccaneer 1/48 There are plenty others I am sure, and maybe Airfix might release some less obscure aircraft
  5. I have only one wish is that Airfix team consider producing the DH Devon/Dove in 1/48 scale or even 1/72 scale, there is at the moment only one model produced in 1/48 of this aircraft and that is the resin Magna kit,. to show how popular it was the Amodel 1/72 Devon/Dove has been very popular, the aircraft itself was used all around the world in civil and military use, and at one stage was the longest serving aircaft in the RAF
  6. With Revells release of the C-54D SKYMASTER, which seems to be going down very well with modellers, may be Airfix could counter this by producing a British designed and highly succesful turbo-prop airliner that sold all over the globe, the Vickers Viscount 800 series, which in my eyes looked more elegant than the 700 series, there are also plenty of airframes and drawings to get the proper information and Airfix to use their Lidar. The Aircraft is actually not that big so boxing and tooling costs would not be to much of an issue. There are also no 1/72 plastic injection kits on the market, only Airways vacform 800 and 700 series, and not forgetting Mach 2 700 series, which is buildable but not great
