  1. Does anyone know if the Scammel Pioneer Recovery, Scammel Pioneer Artillery Tractor and the US Tractor with Compactor are still planned for release? They were in the 2020 catalogue, but not in 2021.
  2. If you're handy with resin, you could take a relief of each of the hatches you wish to open with something as simple as plasticine and then just pour in a few drops of resin into the mold to create a replica. The inside face can be replicated with thin plastic card. You would then file the hatch on the model flat and drill out the opening. Alternatively, you could use a pin vise to drill around the hatch to remove it, but then you would have to rebuild the area around the cut-out. I think the first method would be the easiest. Howard
  3. I agree Tweezers and I would have done so, but unfortunately all the hatches are molded shut! The Firefly is the same. Not to say that with a little extra work it couldn't be done, but I'm very surprised that Airfix didn't offer the easier option and just make them separate.
  4. This is the new Tiger I finished in the Michael Wittman scheme. I used Humbrol enamels and the tracks were done with the buffable gun metal and then buffed on the high spots to simulate tracks in use. Antenna are added from sprue from references on the internet. Being a command tank, it had more than the usual complement of radios.
  5. Just a note by way of update to Ratch's comprehensive info. In 1973 coinscident with the blue box and round logo, one of the laying firing figures was substitued by a nicely moulded figure of a man firing the Japanese light machine gun of the time. For some reason the single figure was the only one in the set ever updated. You know you have an original set if 4 laying firing riflemen are on the sprue!
  6. This is the old Victorious kit in 1:600 with the additon of a few extras. Railings, mast and crane from White Ensign Modern Royal Navy sets 1 and 2, 1:600 aircraft markings from Starfighter Decals, Whirlwinds and Skyraiders from Tumbling Dice. http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af2/hwright21/VICTORIOUS40_1.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af2/hwright21/VICTORIOUS36_1.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af2/hwright21/victorious32.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af2/hwright21/Victorious/airvic14.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af2/hwright21/Victorious/airvic17.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af2/hwright21/Victorious/airvic12.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af2/hwright21/Victorious/airvic11.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af2/hwright21/Victorious/airvic2.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af2/hwright21/Victorious/airvic11.jpg
