  1. Great update. Nice little set of tips for others to follow (me included).. Will keep checking back on this. Thanks very much for sharing
  2. Looks mega. Thanks for the photo's of the build. Gives me a good idea. Would also look at doing something similar with layout. A loop to let them run away on there own, with a siding to do some shunting. Close to perfect.
  3. As the title says, who else produces in this scale. Be it loco’s, buildings, figures, diecast models etc. A list I’ll try update as I confirm more: Oxford (diecast, very small range of vehicles) Gaugemaster (various manufacturers, noch, piko, peco etc.) Arnold
  4. You have to take into consideration the previous track pack that will give you a spare straight from replacing one with a turnout.

    Sets

Ah this is all turning into a minefield. might cancel all my orders. thanks for letting us know. I really wanted lights in the pullmans. Might just go buy some stuff seperate.
  6. Ah didn’t think to look at the brochure. Nice spot. I’ll be sure to check that in future when I have a query. It’s still not great though is it. Not a hard job to do. Very poor.
  7. Sorry, something else just noticed. Product info states ‘This set contains a starter oval track and a siding’ surely then a turnout is provided along with the 6th radius curve?
  8. Cheers Roger, an oval track would make more sense looking at track pack 1. But is it 6 straights included as listed? Or just 2, which again would make more sense given the contents of track pack 1. I have ordered a set, if it arrives with less parts than listed, do you complain, ask for money back or demand the extra track? bit shoddy once again from Hornby.
  9. Am I missing something, or have the sets not listed what’s included correctly? The info seems to be incorrect. Should a turnout not be listed within one of the sets? Otherwise why do they include a 6th radius curve? The 6 straights listed in the sets makes track pack 1 appear confusing? Or does track pack 1 just provide you with some spare straight pieces, and possibly a turnout? Track pack 2 listing also lists 3x 1st radius curves. Should this not be 3x Straights

    Sets

Plummed for a set and some extra track pieces. Seems the best value for money. time to sell off my 00 stuff. Never really managed to get a permanent setup due to size constraints. The TT seems perfect for me and has dragged me back in.

    Sets

With 00, the sets were of railroad standard. So most people if looking for advice were advised not to buy the sets as they weren’t value for money and were better off buying what they needed separate. For TT, is buying a set the best way to start off? are the loco’s the same standard in the sets as they are sold seperate?
  12. A few month ago Peco themselves started doing TT track. They will probably also have the geometry.
  13. I had similar thoughts. Ended up getting 3 Carrera Evolution slot cars. Merc, Ferrari & RedBull. Really good detail on them. Modded in the retro chip to work on scalextric.
  14. Tried searching but couldn't find an answer. I'm pretty sure this will have been asked loads too. So sorry for asking again. But, as per the title, which TTS decoder is best fit for the 156? Thanks
