  1. Thank you all for your reply I don't think I will be investing in this at over £40 I will stick to good old track rubber ipa and cardboard
  2. As anybody used the gaugemaster HF 1 track cleaner and is it any good it will be only used for analogue models
  3. Thanks PH, I would never have found this page. You live and learn.
  4. Roger, where did you get the service sheet from l have looked on the Hornby Web site but can't find it
  5. Thanks all for your reply, I finally got this apart using some brute force and it was from the back. There was a bent piece of metal on the chassis that was stopping me from levering with a screwdriver blade but once straightend it was easy. I was then able to give it a good clean probably not been touched for 40 years new brushes fitted regapped the wheels and now runs perfectly even really low speed what a difference. Thanks again
  6. I am trying to release the motor from the chassis, the chassis is metal and there doesn't appear to be any means of getting the two apart I'm guessing that near to the pin that connects to the loco there is a gap l have tried with a flat blade screwdriver but can't separate these items Help please if anybody as a idea
  7. @96RAF I have now updated the firmware, and the slider controls work. As far as I know I am connected red and blue light on but nothing seems to be working there is no voltage to the track. Should the control screen be emergency stop or resume I have tried both The resume operation control button does not appear to do anything
  8. Good afternoon, I have been trying to update the firmware but the update doesn't appear to be working, its been telling me that it's updating device via ota (0%)for the last 2 hours I have reset the device twice but the screen has not changed Should I try something else Mick
  9. Thanks for that, I agree with what you said I thought it would be a good idea to wire each piece of track to a buss rather than rely on fishplates. I can of course isolate individual sections were ever I have to. Of course doing it this way means that I will be able to change to DCC in the future, or have two completely separate loops with both types of control (making sure they are separate) at the same time. Mick
  10. Hello everyone, I will be setting up a new oo layout soon which will be on DC. My previous layout was wired for Dcc that is a DCC bus and every piece of track wired back to the bus, would you recommend I did the same for DC Regards Mick
