  1. I may have to stick with what the guide has told me, although it still doesnt accurate. I have however found a 24 Trainer Yellow, seems to be more dense/thick yellow. I will give all three a test with yellow and black stripe and match it up against the side of my ship. From there ill have to pick out the best to my eyes. Thanks anyway for the attempted help David.
  2. I mentioned in other posts on this model, how bad i was having trouble fitting the decks into the sides with some major warping.. I can now say "Finally!" I have managed to get the pieces together with so much struggle!. Question now is, can anyone recommend what the yellow colour of the ship is in Humbrol Paints? I have tried a sample of 74 and 81 as instructed in the manual, but these seem alittle light, not as darkened as pictures of the real HMS Victory. Thanks
  3. I may have unwanted parts lieing around the model box. I'll definately try out on that those first before my main model. It'll be a complete nightmare to have it ruined should it go wrong.
  4. So even though its cloudy, its still safe to use. Thanks for the information, much appreciated folks. Lee_Weeman
  5. I recently purchased the new product, Humbrol Matt Clear, 125ml Bottle, AC7434. I have had it delivered today, but the product is cloudy. Is this safe to use? Do i need to do something else to it before applying it? I have big concerns over the cloudyness as I have spent time and effort into my recently made Spitfire Mk1a. Please help, Thank you. Lee
  6. Yeah I was also wondering how you managed to paint that!. The thing is so tiny and some good details on to paint. A very steedy hand is going to be needed I think.
  7. Ah, must be just me then with my lack of construction experience. It seems for my build, there is some serious bending of the top deck to allign with the side of the ship, like, it feels its going to snap. With no problems with yours, I guess I will need to be really careful with my build. Thanks for the input on the colours, I will try and experiment with colours to match the real HMS Victory.
  8. Love the build! I must ask though, how painful was this build putting the upper and lower decks into the ship itself? I'm currently building one and Im having real trouble with it! Also have you experimented with the colours for the decks? I tried a sample of 71 Oak Satin, but it doesnt look right. Any Recommendations?
