  1. What device are you using to communicate with HM7000, Android or Iphone?
  2. My exact issue. My iPhone 13 worked fine installing profiles a couple of months ago. It has recently had an IOS update to version 17.0.3. My DCC Controller is a z21 I am trying to upload the latest profile on a programming track and all other locos on the main track have no power, this means the communication between my iPhone and HM7000 chip is the only comms with the HM7000 app. I have got a Bachmann Class 47 with a 21pin HM7000 decoder, also has a stay alive fitted. I installed the Class 56 profile on this two months ago with no problem. Last week I noticed the Class 47 profile was released so I went to install the latest profile. And this is when I started to have issues. I have tried to install class 47 profile multiple times and most of the time it fails and the app returns to the default screen without loading the profile. The more I try the more it happens. The only way I have got the operation to complete is by cutting all power for 20mins or so and then trying again. Unfortunately, when I do get it to complete it asks me to remove the engine from the track for a minute or so and then return it to the track, I then look at the settings and it still says I’m running the Class 56 profile SD042 and not SD043. I have now tried this process many times with no joy. Last week I got a Dapol Class 73 and installed a HM7000 with stay alive and that too is having exactly the same issues. I work in IT and do this sort of thing within my job so have a good understanding on how to carry out these sorts of operations. Just to make sure it wasn’t me I have double checked I am doing everything right and watched the forums before asking for help. George if you do read this and are at GETS at the weekend then I’m happy to come and have a chat if it helps.
  3. I am having real issues with my iPhone 13 at the moment trying to change the profile for a Class 47 and installing a profile for a class 73. Is there a issue with IOS 17 and the HM7000 app potentially? My two HM7000 worked fine with my iPhone a few months ago when I installed the profiles originally, I had a class 56 sound profile installed on my Class 47 but now that the Class 47 profile is available I thought I would install the right profile. I have just bought a new HM7000 for my new Dapol Class 73. Until this post I thought it was just my phone or internet causing the issue. Any Ideas or anyone else having issues?
  4. You can install the Google play store on your amazon fire tablet: I don't know if this will enable you to run the HM7000 app on your amazon fire tablet but is definitely worth doing. I did it on mine to allow me to run the Z21 app on my Fire Tablet. When I was talking to the guys on the Pete Waterman making track 2 last year they were using amazon fire tablets to control there layout via a Z21 and that's how I leant about it. This enables you to use the google play store on your Amazon Fire Tablet and I believe the HM7000 app is on the Google Play Store.
  5. Just one DMU would be a start, up to now I used a class 56 in a class 47. Its wasn't perfect but it was close. If you have a DMU you want something similar to upload. We can wait an exact match but having nothing similar it makes no sense to buy a HM7000 for it at the moment.
  6. Planned release of profiles needs to be updated on new profiles that will be done in the next 12month and not just ticking off those which have been completed on the present list. By now we should know what sound files will be developed up to Q4 of next year. The HM7000 system shouldn't be linked to model releases because it needs to also cater for older models and models done by other manufacturers. If you go down the HM7000 then you really need all your model running on the HM7000 otherwise the Bluetooth control is pointless long term. PS. DMU profile must be a priority as there is absolutely none on the list.
  7. My three turned up today, can't fault the price and delivery. Worth the gamble buying for future use.
  8. What is the best way of changing the HM7000's DCC address (CV1). I will be using loco with my Roco z21 more than with bluetooth but will be using bluetooth when at my model railway club or when updating.
  9. I have just bought three for future use, couldn't go wrong if it comes through. Bought on Credit Card so can always get money back. You really need to order 2 or more to be worth it as shipping is about £7.
  10. I could do with a Class 156 and Class 159, for the time being I would be happy to put any DMU sound in them. But there is no DMU sound to load so pointless buying a HM7000 for them at the moment.
  11. After seeing the Hornby video last week you might get it working with your iPad but but then have a issue with the Bluetooth technology. Older Apple devices might not work with the HM7000 Bluetooth technology.
  12. So far very impressed with the hm7000 and just ordered my second decoder. Looking at sound files available and there seems to be one glaring hole, yes we can use a sound profile from a similar loco until the sound profile is available for that class of loco. But there is next to nothing for DMU’s. Surely it would be good to get out a generic DMU sound like the Class 156 that can be used until more sounds are developed. The other question is what other glaring holes there are for sounds that could be used as generic sounds until sound files are developed?
  13. Thanks 96RAF, will have a look at this later. Thought it would be something fairly simple.
