  1. Thank you for your suggestions. In the end I relented and reluctantly and with trepidation used brute force twisting a wide screwdriver between the frame and the motor and it popped out. I must say it not an ideal arrangement. Some older models had a split pin in the through the top of the pivot post. Thanks again now that I can access the motor bogie and can solder broken connections
  2. I have tried to squeeze the pivot post but it does not release the bogie and I do not want to force it and damage the motor or bogie...any suggestions?
  3. I am having trouble removing the motor bogie from the 4-vep The clip holding it into the frame does not release so I cannot pull the bogie down to release it Any tips
  4. I have been watching the Hornby tv programs on Yesterday channel and they are presenting, as we all know, that Model Railways are a great hobby requiring creativity, electrical know how, skilful modelling and remarkable creations. I note there are a number of driver eye views in the programs and I am hoping some one could tell me what video camera was used for this purpose? Alan Chell
  5. Is this still available. I cannot find it on website or any other source
  6. All run well simlarly on the level Yes they all have traction tyres, changed one failure and oiled the axles but did not help could try the others Have also tried puting additional weight in the motor drive car to no avail Is it possible to add an additional motor in the trailing car and would this help? Odd that one manages to get up the gradient can't figure out why! Would be great if HORNBY could produce and updated version of this train maybe 4 car or ability to link 2 2-car units togher!!
  7. I have 4 Class 466 ‘Networker Suburban Train models and of the 4 only ONE will climb the gardient on my layout. I have many other EMU's Diesels etc. all of which easily climb the gradients. Can anyopne suggest hown to make the 3 failures climb the gradient. By the way this is an excellent Forum for finding answers to trick pronlems, thank you to everyone who reply with suggestions and colutions Alan Chell
  8. Thank You, I have purchased NEM pockets so this should solve the problem
  9. Does anyone know if there is a wide version of the X9289 coupling set? The narrow coupling causes many derailments when used with wider couplings
  10. Thank you for the part numbers etc. I shall search for the hens teeth!! :-)
  11. I have a Britannia Class 7MT "William Shakespear" R3096 The coupling on the tender is broken and useless I cannot find any Serive sheets for this so does anyone know how to get a replacement part?
  12. Thank you! I eventually manage to get access to the motor. Some wires had come loose so had to resolder them. By the way it became easier to release when I removed the 2 C shaped metal parts from the top of the motor Thank you again Stay Safe
  13. Can anyone help me to release the collar keeping the bogie in place on the 4 vep class 423 Is the a knack to this as I don not want to damage the collar and make the bogie useless
  14. Thank you this helps me to plan my layout
  15. Can someone suggest the track configuration and part numbers for a curved points crossover with standard track centres
