  1. I agree very much and yes Airfix desperately need to invest heavily in their 1/72nd scale figures. I too have been collecting Airfix figures and kits for 50 years! I also owned a historical figure manufacturing company too and have a great eye for detail and a strong passion for the industry. I would love to be able to help Airfix with their future plans and help them make those millions that they want to make! These sets should be replaced by reducing the 1/32nd scale figures as was done with many of the 2nd edition revamped figures:- WWII British Commandos WWII British Paratroopers WWII Russian infantry WWII Japanese infantry WWII British infantry - these can be replaced by also adding the Combat support Group so that they have heavy weapons! This will make this set a BEST SELLER!!!! 7th Cavalry Indians Knights Would also like to see lots of new periods such as English Civil War. People will now pay double the amount Airfix currently charge if the sets are "Great" Just look at how good some of the other Manufacturers are! As Airfix have an expanding range of vehicles perhaps more WWII sets The Waterloo series is good but needs many more sets to make it abetter seller such as Prussian cavalry, artillery and line infantry. I have thousands of ideas and suggestions if Airfix would like to hear about them.
  2. What would be really great is to re-release all the 1/72nd scale (previously HO/OO scale) figure sets such as Civilians, zoo sets 1& 2, Farm Stock, Foreign Legion (set2), Arabs, Robin Hood, Sheriff of Nottingham, High Chaparral, Romans and Ancient Britains. Also the WWII British Paratroopers, WWII British Commandos, WWII Russian infantry and the New WWII British Infantry sets need to be upgraded using the 1/32 scale figures for the basis of the new sets with additional figures added. Could also use the 1/32nd Scale British infantry Support Group figures in the British sets too. Other new figure sets for 1/72nd scale could be for a new Period such as the English Civil War as this is a rare subject in plastic in this scale so could be a best seller. Also sets of WWII heavy weapons like motors, anti aircraft guns, heavy machine guns, flame throwers etc for all nations would be great. In the Waterloo period there is a meet for Prussian Line infantry, and Prussian cavalry such as Hussars, Dragoons, lancers and Landwehr. The French need Dragoons, Hussars, lancers, Chasseurs and Guard cavalry too. The British need Heavy Dragons, Life Guards, light Dragoons and heavy Dragoons. In fact there are a limitless number of sets to make.
