  1. Considering the amount of train formations using more than one diesel locomotives,- like railhead treatment trains, East Anglian ‘short set’ on the Wherry Lines, etc,- I’m surprised that non-powered versions of classes 20, 37, 47, 66 in various liveries with working direction lights have not been produced in Railroad.
  2. Please can I have advice on sourcing OO Gauge special train journey name boards. I am running a fairly recent timescale layout with DMU’s etc.. however I have some steam locomotives and early livery diesels that I want to run as special journey trains based in and around eastern England Such as The Broadsman, The Easterling, Cathedral Special etc.. Is there an organisation that produces these items, - I have had looked at the small ads in a certain MR magazine but to no avail.
  3. Thanks to all for your responses, they are very much appreciated, I now feel more confident to experiment on the least perfect coach and see how it goes, probably opting to spray.
  4. To varnish or not to varnish, that is the question. I have a rake of Hornby LNER teak coaches, that, to be honest look dull and unrealistic and I have a decision, do I sell them on and put the sales money towards the expensive version, or do I experiment with a varnish of some description and risk ruining a coach. Being very new to Hornby Forum it’s possible that this topic has been debated and discussed previously howeve, I would appreciate any advice albeit from your experience and knowledge o this subject.
