I have two of the Previous Heller issued 1/72 scale Boeing E3 awacs kits with the older JT3D engines, which when Airfix updated the kit to a RAF version with the CFM56 turbofans, I know that there is tons of the older heller versions knocking around on the net for sale but very few of the Airfix version, and very expensive too, contrail did produce the cfm engines but are also very rare and expensive, perhaps if possible Airfix could have a think to reissue the kit but I would assume have the capability to produce the JT3D engines together with the CFM56 ones and perhaps even an upgrade kit for us with the older kits!

Yes I agree, I believe the moulds have been lost as there were various releases by eastern bloc manufacturers then nothing, I would love to see airfix reissue it as well as doing the 177 of which there were a couple of full sized mockups made before cancelation of the project. I seem to remember hearing that bits of the angel interceptor model were from the sr 53 or am I incorrect
