  1. Lovely, you've done brilliantly. great stuff,
  2. Thanks Tomek, your comments are much appreciated and you could be correct regards the matt finish. I have some Fallshirmjager that I will try the matt varnish on and I'll post some pics today hopefully. Cheers.
  3. Thanks, I enjoy painting them, its how I relax. I used acrylics on an enamel undercoat and then gloss enamel varnish as its tough enough for handling when wargaming. Sorry for the tardy reply, struggled to download pictures but here are some of the Germans with a Tommy or two thrown in. You may notice a couple of Matchbox I had to include as they are such nice figures. Cheers.
  4. Thanks very much for the explanation, I appreciate it as someone new to the whole forum thing I was unaware of this although it is of course perfectly logical. I will enjoy the whole thing a lot more now.grinning Looking forward to more posts. Thanks again.
  5. I'll second that, I'm a few years behind you but an update on one or two of the old 1/72 figures would be wonderful. Possibly in the new plastic that takes glue......
  6. Still trying to post something, dozens of posts written and photos attached but never works. So....
  7. Evening all. I don't seem to have much luck posting on this forum, it never seems to work for some reason. However I keep trying. Thought I'd put up some pictures. So.... Some Waterloo. Curassiers painted as Dragoons 2nd Rgt and Hussars and Infantry.
  8. Evening everyone. New to the forum in terns of posting anything as I'm a luddite and can't work computers. However, I've been an Airfix follower since about 1972 when I got my first figures on my fifth birthday from my Grandparents. Got a lot of stuff in my collection but I've always loved the figures and although I wargame many periods and use metal figures I can never leave the Airfix alone for long. Here are some pics of an early war British Infantry Pltn, based on pennies and ready to deploy. With a shot of the opposition thrown in. Cheers.
