  1. Hi guys. I recently bought a second hand Pendolino (virgin trains). Tried to replace a broken coupling on power car and pulled the little tension spring that hooks onto coupling on the underside. Stretched this too much and tension is gone so needs replacing. Has anyone had same problem with these springs? What is the correct term? Also is there a link here to buy them (or similar that will work) ? I can see the replacement pendolino couplings, but no springs.
  2. Cheers Chris for the practical advice. Wires noted, CDU no chance of me making one of them so gaugemaster looks perfect. Diagrams a big help too. Aidan
  3. Thanks for the advice and tips chrissaf. the diagram really helps too. Just wasn't sure a) what quality wires to use. B) the arrangement also. I've not used a CDU, do hornby sell these? Also regarding wires , are they same thickness as ones on hornby point switches maybe? Thanks RAF 96 for the tip also.
  4. Hi, Has anybody wired up an 'expo' eze point switcher control box to a Hornby HM2000 controller? The diagram on switch box packing is not very clear or explanatory. I'm having trouble finding out what wires to use, where to plug in on sockets on HM etc. Any help is appreciated, the expo box has 5 switches for points and looks decent but very difficult to find detailed installation instructions (including from the manufacturer!!)
