  1. Hi AugustusCaesar for information at no point was my router firewall turned off the only thing that was turned off was the Upnp security tab and was turned back on as soon as I had registered then yesterday when I tested it and it was turned back on again.
  2. Hi everyone Now had the chance to test the Universal Plug and Play Security tab and as soon as I clicked on the checkbox the problems started up again. I wasn't able to do anything as the Upnp security just blocked everything again. I got the same message that I was unable to reach resource 12029 and at one point I got a message stating that I was unable to reach resource 12002 whatever that is. Once I unchecked the Upnp Security tab everything was alright again and able to get through to the servers. So just in case anyone else has the same problems it's one to file away and use to assist anyone else facing similar issues. Great program having real fun with this. Tom
  3. Hi Guys when I get the chance which will probably be tomorrow now as I'm out dancing this afternoon with my wife then out dancing again tonight, I will reset the Upnp Security tab back on and see if the problem returns as suggested by Chrisaff for the completeness of the solution and will report back once I have tried it. If it does return and I can't fix it again straight away it won't be too bad as I have upgraded everything I need at the moment including hand-held as well then report back. At least I know where the issue is and how to sort it out again (fingers, toes and everything else that I can cross will be crossed). Tom
  4. Hi everyone now totally sorted out. The Pro code arrived and managed to get it input with no issues so been able to explore the updated program properly and yes it's really good and looking forward to using it as I hoped I would be able too. Just want to thank everyone who has offered help over the past few days. Kind regards Tom
  5. Hi everyone I have my activation code but not had a chance to try it yet so it does seemd to be resolved any problems I will get back and let you know. But many thanks for your help and forebearance with me and the problems. Kind regards Tom
  6. HI guys Guess what I have only gone and sorted the problem out myself I hope. I have contacted the Pro Update site through Railmaster and it has acknowledged my request to upgrade to Railmaster Pro and will send me the required Pro code within 48 hours so I'm taking it that it has gone through properly now. The issue if it is sorted was due to the Universal Plug and Play Security on the Router which having unchecked this appears to have resolved the problem. I hope that this will resolve it totally and let me work with the Railmaster program properly in future. For future reference in ase someone with a BTHomeHub3 Router has similar problems them it may be helpful to ask them to look at this item on their router. Does anyone know how / who to check with that they have indeed received my Upgrade request through the Railmaster Program as with all the problems Ive had Im not sure that I totally trust it. Kind regards Tom
  7. Hi Chris Dont worry having spent so much time on this I will do
  8. Hi chris yes I did all that started the CD then went to the setup exe and run that as administrator. Stopped both Windows Firewall and Windows Defender as I don't have any other anti viirus program. Gave all the permissions as per the security PDF and things received from everyone on the forum. The last time I installed the downloaded file from the site. Shown in the posts in the forum and did it all again and every time gave the program all the needed permissions. Just don't know what else I can try other than leave it to the guys from support who will hopefully sort it out for me on a permanent basis. I have tried all combinations
  9. Hi Chris Ive have actually turned the router firewall off on about 20 occasions now while I try various combinations of ideas but still no joy it could be something to do with port-forwarding and getting the correct settings but it shouldnt be that hard to resolve. I have now had 35 attempts at trying to resolve this what I have noticed that having set permissions on the Railmaster folder when I go back in again it has changed them back to read only. That the folder not the exe. which has still got the read only unchecked thereby allowing programs to read and write to whatever it is that the registering process need to access. Am I right in thinking that the registration process accesses the hard drive to read data to ensure that it is not being registered on another computer without it being disabled on the original. If I'm right then that makes the registration process overwhelmingly complicated as other software needs to ensure that it has not been copied multiple times and must surely go through some type of verification process which does not throw up so many problems or issues.
  10. Hi Chris Tried the factory reset and still no joy also the wired option but still beating my head against a brick wall. Like you say earlier unless support can sort out this issue for me then I'm always going to have to contact them to change computers etc. Cant buy the Pro upgrade online as far as I can see from the website so its wait until tomorrow and hopefully CustomerCare or Support can sort me out. It does sound as if its something to do with the router though but god only knows what. as even the person who got me registered yesterday couldnt see any issues with the computer side of things it seemed that the router would just not let and request through. I'm wondering if its something to do with BT's own anti-virus or firewall as I don't know how to turn this off on the router but I have got it to accept allowing Railmaster through as an exception. Can only wait until the experts get to me at some point.
  11. Hi Chrisaff It was the Vista version of Windows on an Advent Laptop. I thought the same about support needing to sort out the problem properly just as you did because I knew that it was going to create further problems especially as now when trying to purchase the Pro version. I was just glad to be able to use the program. Will certainly get back to them to sort the issue out.
  12. Hi Raf96 ive already tried and it just came up with the same error code unable to reach resource 12029 but will give HRMS a bell on Monday to sort out the code etc.
  13. Hi everyone First of all thanks to everyone who has contacted me with help over the past few days. Someone from support@rail-master.com contacted me and I'm great full to them as well. After a few minutes of checking my system that person decide that due to the issues with my system / router which is a BthomeHub3 it was easier just to manually input my registration code so that I could use Railmaster which is great now so no more moaning. I am now waiting to find out from support how to upgrade to Railmaster Pro without being able to do it through the program. I believe it's another session with support taking over my computer again. Can an someone who has had this problem tell me if I need to contact anyone else to sort out paying for the upgrade or will support sort this out for me. Once again many thanks for the help and assistance and sorry for being a frustrated prat but heyho! We all go through this at times in our life. At 63 I should know better my only excuse is that I'm also waiting to become a Great Grandfather for the first time and I'm just hoping that both my Granddaughter and her son/ daughter are both well many thanks for bearing with me. kind regards Tom
  14. Hi Guys can you help please, I've been contacted by support@rail-master.com and been told to download the set-up file for TeamViewer which I have done. I've now got an ID and Password do I email this back to support@rail-master.com then wait for them to take control of my computer or what should I do with these details. many thanks Tom
  15. Hi everyone sorry tried all the suggestions and many thanks for those. I am going to contact Mark Lodge again to see if he can sort the issues out for me as I want to upgrade to pro version when I can activate this copy so that I can use the extra benefits. I will get back to you all when I have the issue sorted but in the meantime if anyone can give me other suggestions apart from chucking the whole lot in the bin I would be very thankful. Anyone got any idea why Hornby have made it so hard to activate Railmaster as I have used many other software products with no problems. It seems that the issue is either the servers trying to access your hard drive. kind regards Tom
