In my experience it is most likely to be down to old tyres. Drop of oil on motor spindle & axle bearings, new tyres might be found at " scalextric restorations" they have a comprehensive tyre guide. Good luck happy slotting.

Hi, I have sport power & cntrol base multi lane (C8217) is it necessary to connect the long wires to the track If only running 2 lanes? because mine won't work if they are left loose, I thought they were to connect to the other lanes if runNing a 4 lane track. Any help welcome thanks.

Don't want to state the obvious, but don't you need 2 power supplies into the power base to run both lanes in analog?

The cars I have, have the motors at the rear. I reckon I could fit a scalextric chip into the car but just wondering about the compatibility.

Not the insect! I have a number of "fly" analog cars but my track is scalextric sport digital with the 6 car power base.Is it possible to chip the fly cars to run on said track?. Any info. Much appreciated
