Revell's 'New Tool' Avro Shackleton MR.3 - certainly makes up for the 'Short comings' of it's ex-Frog tooled predecessor, but is still as riveting 😉

Nice work James. You must have a big display cabinet for three of them with more on the way!
There is another...

Looking good! And it'll be nice to see them parked side to side.
Oh @T2B I'm going to tease you first..

It's a good kit, just let down with decals that need Tamiya X-20A to get them to sit properly - I will build another (I want to do an earlier MR.3), along with another Airfix MR.2.
Meantime I've kept @T2B waiting long enough..

Nearly time for the final comparison between the Revell & Airfix Shackletons...
/media/tinymce_upload/41a9c2df15392d6867c8498fea1a0b58.jpg
One sticking point, Revell's doesn't come with the latter style prop tip decals - you have to paint them (red and white, oh my).
Fortunately for those who remember her Airfix sister MR.2 build - I didn't use all the decals..
/media/tinymce_upload/1f8b0e0f9eb3c1fe6b7395d45e57b8c3.jpg
So does this make her a Revell/Eduard/Airfix Hybrid?

About to boldly go...

First go with my airbrush/media/tinymce_upload/910dfc79e298acd1deb7304fb72ba808.JPG
Careful one Bulleid Light Pacific leads to another - then you'll have all 110..
Super work!
Thank you James - not sure about the other 110 - but I'm certainly thinking of getting another Dapol kit - - Schools Class or Evening Star???
I've done the entire BofB/WC class from Hornby donor's - here's one I renamed earlier..
/media/tinymce_upload/9a2be9b38f9226a351fd893e1acf6b66.jpg
The Dapol kits have a plotted history (they were Airfix kits at one point), I'd go for the Schools Class next 😉

Meanwhile, I've finished a JUG with a difference - Tamiya's 1/48th Scale P-47D 'Bubbletop' Thunderbolt in Brazilian Markings..

Hot off the workbench and from the cold of the East - more Russian Armour and it's not green!
Another of Tamiya's 1/48th Scale Military Minature Series - the Su122 Russian Tank Killer in Winter Camo..

My first attempt at Winter Camo - I did paint it green underneath (honest).

Be brave, be bold and yes clamps & mole grips will be required 😉

.. Plus a few other bits 😎

@ james_mower
I don't know how you manage 3 or more builds on the go at once, but that MR.3 is looking good, think I need to get 1
It's easy having three kits on the go at once, but it's all the railway commissions that get in the way 😉
With this modern glues (Tamiya Extra Thin etc), I've learn't before paint, let the plane kits have adequate drying time - a few weeks in some cases, as what seems like a perfect invisible seam can be a canyon in a weeks time, hence I appear to have a few kits on the go at once.
The Revell Shackleton is a nice kit, but all that rivet detail makes it a pain to get the decals sitting down ( I had to use X-20A in the end).

Spoiler - she's no tail sitter either lol
-
Lovely work @T2B.
😎
I wonder with all your hard work and Airfix's liking of updating twin-engined light/medium bombers - that a new tool appears 😉
-
Currently I have 3 kits on the go..
Wrestling decals on the Shackleton MR.3..
/media/tinymce_upload/e2b200ed26126f0eb1540ff0b2a512d6.jpg
Trumpeter's 1/48th Westland Whirlwind

And Tamiya 1/48th P-47D Thunderbolt..

I have finished two armour kits - while working on these too.
