  1. Thanks for the replies. It is not one particular loco - wagons do it also. Must be related to the flatness or lack of it, of the track nearby.
  2. Can anyone make suggestions to overcome a problem with derailments on a standard right hand point R8073? It happens when the train is taking the right fork and at the point where the wheels come to the frog. The check rail does not seem to hold the wheels sufficiently to the right, so they try to go straight on. Sometimes the wheel rides up on the check rail. I have tried substituting the point in case it is faulty, but this has not made any difference. Does anyone have experience of other makes such as the Bachmann 36-873 being any better in this regard?
  3. I am building a layout which has a cross-over on a stretch of double track, comprising 2 points R8072. Some locos will not go over this without derailing. Any suggestions to overcome this?
  4. thanks for the information. I do have the UK made tender drives so will get both sizes of tyre as suggested. The locos are A4, King and Black 5.
  5. Thanks for the help, but none of these suggestions give the actual dimension of the tyre. I have 3 old Hornby tender drive locos which need tyres replacing - without taking them all apart, is it basically the same tender motor and wheels on all the Ringfield tender models?
  6. Does anyone have a list of spare tyres for locomotives which gives the size against the part number?
