  1. Now Airfix have done a Ferret, how about a Fox? My buddy and I were in the TA REME in the 70s & 80s and spent many a happy hour fixing both Ferrets & Foxs. It would be nice to have a model of both types.
  2. My parents. It was the 1/24 Ferguson tractor given as a Christmas present somewhere about 1956/1957.

  4. If you Google UR6571, loads of info & photos comes up.
  5. Nice job. As the Americans would say, it looks 'loaded for bear'.
  6. An excellent read is Vulcan 607 by Rowland White. The lead up to, and, the first raid on the Falklands. XM607 still exists at RAF Waddington.
  7. There's a blast from the past! I made one of these in the '60s (I think I was there) and as you say, kits have come a long way in the last 50 years. This is the 'Lanc' in the Australian War Memorial in Canberra and has 90 op's to its credit..
  8. Short answer - no. But I'll keep watching to see if anyone has the requisite funds/is loopy enough to buy it. 😎
  9. Well you seem convinced Paul, but I'm not. There are no notices of cancellation on Cosford's website, Facebook page or Twitter feed. Flightline doesn't have it listed either; RIAT & Farnborough are cancelled though. Where did you get your info?
  10. Is Cosford cancelled? I've just looked at the Cosford website and there's nothing on there about a cancellation.
  11. Thanks for the replies folks. Having given the Workbench articles a good hard stare, they look like the 301 end caps so good news for anyone wanting to do a diorama of Wideawake circa 1982 or XM655, but perhaps not so good news for anyone wanting to make XH558 or XL426. Regardless of which flavour it is though, my order is going in real soon... 😎
  12. Does anyone know which flavour of Vulcan it is; i.e., with Olympus 201 or 301 engines? The major difference being they had different jet pipe end caps. I know it sounds a bit like rivet counting, but sometimes the OCD kicks in... 😎
