  1. Why is it that Scalextric have made it so difficult to identify a particular cars model number. By example; I have a Porsche 997 Digital Car. I know it's a Porsche 997 because it is marked so on the bottom (called the underpan as I understand). I have a problem with this car. It's almost new, but doesn't run very well, and I have discovered the plastic clip that holds the motor inside has a crack in it such that the motor is not held firmly and jumps the drive cogs. So I don't know if it's covered under warranty or if I have to pay for a spare part. But getting back to my question; when I search for Porsche 997 I see there are at least three different model numbers, C2961, C2872, C3176. How the heck does anyone know which model you have? ... I suppose putting the model/part number on it when manufactured is too obvious for Scalextric to have thought of. Any assistance welcome PS.. its one of the cars in the Digital Platinum set. thanks in advance
