Hello It just occured to me, that as Bachmann have already been making there excellent BR Standard 5, 4-6-0 for many years now.. Neither they or Hornby have thought about releasing this excellent locomotive in the 'Caprotti Valve Gear Variant'. Of which there were 30 engines equipped with this gear, so it gives the manufacturer and the customer enough variations on the numbering to hit a good market.. Bachmann and Hornby have both in recent years had joint success with the BR Standard Class 4, 4-6-0's. Which between them has offered many number variants for people to collect.. If Hornby were to produce a Caprotti 5 on there own, they'd have a clear market for themselves!
