I have a Hornby R3382TTS Merchant Navy class, almost unused from new. Recently it would run a little jerky on 1 and 2 throttle but on 3 it is perfect.

Any ideas ?

Track is clean. Is this normal on this model. Was told that the loco is not designed to run at running speeds 1-3 strange.

Does anyone know where I can downlod Sound Decoder Manuals?  I have a Brittania (class 7?) with TTS sound, but no manual?

My Bachamann diesel had to have a new motor after 2 hours (just out of warranty £50)

If it was me I would try it to see if it works.  I have a Bachmann USA sound loco that works with some sound on my DC layout. I don't use Hornby controllers.

Iave  asound engine with a Lockndect decoder To run on DC it recommeds a controller with a

'smoothed output' ?Not sure what that means Will my Hornby  R8250 be ok ?

Yes that could be- ,i just sold a pack but cannot  remember much about it It was steam set .

ameThink it ran from Euston to Liverpool. Have you looked on line to find out what loco was used. I believe Tornado did some excursions with that headboard.

Found this on you tube and the sign on ther rront is exactley the same but i do not have model of a Tornado !!
